By Q3 of 2025, we are introducing our new A Class vessel and by Q3 of 2026 our second A Class will arrive, marking a new milestone in Cadeler's history. The first A Class vessel will be named Wind Ally and the second Wind Ace.
The design of these new state-of-the-art jack-up vessels, somewhat similar to specifications of the two P Class vessels, but with unique features for installing foundations will enable the vessels to handle the next generations of wind turbine foundations. And with the addition of Wind Ally and Wind Ace, the Cadeler fleet will onwards consist of six jack-up vessels and thus, the largest and most capable fleet of jack-up installation vessels in terms of loading capacity and ability to transport, service and install offshore foundations and wind turbines (WTGs).
The A Class will cater for some of the largest foundation dimensions in the offshore wind industry
With a deck space of 5,600m2, a payload of more than 17,600 tons and a main
crane capacity to be disclosed at a later date, the A Class vessels once in
operation will be unmatched in the industry judging by today's standards. Wind
Ally and Wind Ace will be able to transport and install six sets of 2XL
monopile foundations per load, cutting down the number of transits needed for
each project while improving the operational efficiency substantially. In line
with the P Class vessels, the A Class will cater for some of the largest
dimensions expected to come in the offshore wind industry.
